"Reaching the top 10 was my year-end goal, but now I'm thinking, why not aim for the top 5 or 6?"
The 29-year-old, who has previously peaked at 5th in the world rankings, is returning home with a newfound confidence ahead of two major Australian tournaments: the Women's Australian Open in Adelaide and the Women's PGA on the Gold Coast.
And this is the part most people miss: Green believes her Singapore success will elevate her status as a drawcard for these local events. "I might be under a bit more pressure now, with more eyes on me," she said. "But I'm determined to treat these tournaments with the same seriousness as any other."
Green's recent win in Singapore, her second at the Women's World Championship, has given her a boost of confidence heading into the new season. "It's a great way to start the year and build momentum for the Australian events," she explained. "I wasn't expecting it, but I also feel it's a venue that suits my game."
The Singapore title has also relieved some of the pressure Green felt heading into her return to the US in April. "Winning early in the season takes a bit of the stress off," she said. "I won't feel like I'm playing catch-up when I get to Vegas for my first US event. It's the little things like this that make a big difference."
